The difference between HDR and Still (Flash) images can be quite striking.

HDR is recommended for larger homes or even smaller homes that are furnished. 

In a larger home a single flash will only light the immediate surrounding areas. Rooms in the distance are often dark as a  result. Direct straight on flash also creates a "flat" looking image. In contrast HDR brings out a lot more detail and rooms in the distance will be well lit.
